What you get today, for free
Every tool on Paw & Whisker is free to use right now. That includes the five-question symptom check, the toxic-food checker with its 48 detailed food articles, the vet finder and all of the guides. The AI chat is free as well. You can ask two questions a day, and each question can be text, a photo, or both. A photo question counts as one of the two. The allowance resets at midnight UTC, and starting a new conversation does not reset it.
The limit exists so the free service stays available to everyone. On top of your own allowance, we also apply caps that are shared across a network connection and caps across the whole site. On a busy day, or from a network many people share, the chat may pause before you have used both questions. When that happens the guides and tools still work, and you can come back the next day.

Whisker Plus: coming soon
Whisker Plus is an idea we are working toward, not a product you can buy. There is no price, no checkout and no subscription. If you would like to hear when it opens, you can join the email waitlist on this page. We save your email address in our database together with your consent, and that is all. We do not take payment, we do not send a confirmation message, and joining does not reserve anything or change what you can use for free.
We are not promising dates or a list of features. Ideas such as several pet profiles, reminders and vet-visit summaries are only ideas, and nothing you can buy today includes them. Anything that is free today is meant to stay free.
The Puppy Survival Kit is separate
The printable Puppy Survival Kit is a one-time $12 purchase from its own checkout page. It is not a subscription, it is not part of the chat, and it is not related to the waitlist. Refund requests for the kit are covered by the refund policy.
What the free chat sends and keeps
To answer, your question, any photo, and the pet profile you saved are sent through our server to an AI provider. We do not store the questions, answers, photos or profile in our database. Your profile and recent conversation stay in your own browser. The privacy policy has the full detail, and How it works explains what the AI can and cannot do.
Frequently asked questions
Is anything here a paid subscription?
No. There is no paid subscription. Whisker Plus is coming soon and is only an email waitlist for now.
Do photo questions cost extra?
No. Photo questions are free and count toward the two questions you get each day.
Why did the chat stop before I used two questions?
Shared-network and site-wide safety limits can pause answers sooner than your own allowance. Try again later or use the free tools and guides.
Does joining the waitlist cost anything?
No. It saves your email and consent. No payment is taken and no confirmation message is sent.
